Brassets Group, in collaboration with our technology partners Wavefront (Sonar), HGH (IRST), Echodyne (Drone Radar), and ARC Drones, recently had the privilege of demonstrating our cutting-edge 720° threat detection capabilities to the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). The presentation was attended by key figures, including Fleet Commander Rear Admiral Smith AM CSM RAN and Commodore Robertson CSC RAN, alongside members of the Security and Estate Group, Force Protection, and Navy Capability.

The live demonstration featured one of our advanced rapid deployment systems, which seamlessly integrates the latest COT’s technologies. The Brassets team successfully showcased the system’s ability to detect and track various threats in real-time, reinforcing the versatility and precision of our threat detection solutions.

During the demonstration, our team was able to simultaneously detect and identify multiple objects at various distances, including:

  • Divers in the water
  • Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs)
  • Micro drones
  • Kayaks at a range of over 2.3km
  • Several vessels of varying sizes entering the detection zone

All of this was achieved through a fully integrated Command and Control (C2) system, designed to centralize and streamline threat detection efforts. The flexibility of the C2 system allows it to be permanently installed on vessels, vehicles, or bases, whilst also being easily deployable in mobile and backpack applications, making it an ideal solution for maritime, coastal, and land-based defence operations.

The combination of sonar, infrared search and track (IRST), radar, and drone technology offers a comprehensive 720° surveillance solution. This multi-layered approach ensures the early identification of potential threats in even the most complex environments.
